Diese wird in der Karosserie fluchtend zwischen den Vorder- oder Hinterr\u00e4dern platziert und die Antriebsleistung \u00fcber Kardanwellen auf die R\u00e4der \u00fcbertragen. Damit ist die E-Achse korrosiven Einfl\u00fcssen ausgesetzt sowie insbesondere die Welle und der Rotor des verbauten E-Motors hohen Lastwechseln unterlegen. Die Geh\u00e4use der E-Achsen werden \u00fcblicherweise aus Aluminiumdruckguss hergestellt. Aufgrund der geometrischen Komplexit\u00e4t der Geh\u00e4use sind monolithische Konstruktionen in der Gro\u00dfserie h\u00e4ufig nicht wirtschaftlich darstellbar, weshalb Gussteile und andere Halbzeugformen miteinander sowohl l\u00f6sbar als auch unl\u00f6sbar gef\u00fcgt werden m\u00fcssen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beim Stator des Elektromotors kommen derzeit haupts\u00e4chlich Hairpin-Wicklungen zum Einsatz, die prinzipbedingt etwa 400 F\u00fcgestellen enthalten. Bei Ausfall einer einzigen dieser F\u00fcgestellen verliert das Fahrzeug ein Drittel seiner Antriebsleistung, beim Ausfall einer zweiten kommt es bereits zum vollst\u00e4ndigen Ausfall des E-Motors. Hieraus ergeben sich alleine am Beispiel der Hairpin-Wicklung komplexe Anforderungen an Robustheit, Reproduzierbarkeit, mechanische Integrit\u00e4t und insbesondere Schwingfestigkeit der F\u00fcgestellen.
